Duties and Responsibilities:
•
The Technical Manager will be
leading a team of tech lead, data engineers, BI developers, data scientist and
machine learning (ML) developers. The Technical Manager shall be the Subject
Matter Expert that would be able to envision, articulate/design, build, deploy
and operationalise Big Data + AI / ML solutions, and he/she will be accountable
for the overall technology strategy.
•
In this role, the technical
manager will be responsible for detailed solution design and technical
accelerators such as Proof of Value (POV)/Proof of Concept (POC) projects.
He/She will direct technical resources from the team to design and scale
cohesive solutions.
•
The technical manager will also
work closely with the Sales team to close deals, supporting the team through
the full sales process of solutions engineering and presentation, standard
and/or customised solutions demonstration, customer workshop, development of
proposals and work with the sales team to address RFI/RFP-related queries from
customers. In addition, he/she will act as a consultant to the delivery team
for development and deployment of solutions so as to ensure smooth transition
from post-sales implementation to Go-live stage.
Key Skills and Experience:
•
Expert level skills in big data
technologies like Cloudera Hadoop, SQL Big Data Cluster, HDFS, components of
Hadoop like Sqoop/ Hive/ Pig/ Ranger & Spark.
•
Understanding of Cloud
technologies for Big Data.
•
Able to create POC projects
with limited tools in short time to showcase the intended solution for the
client.
•
Have good understanding and
hands on for ML development, and possess experience in AI/ML integration to the
overall IT infrastructure.
•
Experienced level skills with
Design Thinking, Agile and MLOps method.
•
Able to conduct research and development
in Computer Vision, Speech Recognition, Natural Language Processing and other
related fields.
•
Ability to drive workshop with
customer during pre-sales and in-project stages.
•
Able to design and review data
architecture, and to create and/or improve algorithm/model performance.
•
Ability to work collaboratively
and productively with team.
•
Ability to manage ambiguity,
yet producing tangible results.
•
Ability to effectively manage
challenging situations without loss of focus when under pressure.
Technical and Professional Expertise
•
At least 5+ years of relevant
industry experience in architecting and solutioning Big Data + AI/ML
technologies.
•
Preferably possess a master’s
degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence or related
discipline.
•
At least completed 3 Big Data +
AI/ML projects.
•
At least one major Cloud
Certification.
•
Proficiency in at least 1 or
more languages such as: R, Python, SPSS.
•
Proficiency in at least 1 or
more BI tools such as: PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik.
•
Knowledge of various software
technologies, methodologies and applied software engineering
practices/standards.
•
Manage critical client
impacting events related to solution and engage with delivery, transition etc
